We recommend that you drop a sample in the kit and put it in the machine as soon as possible (within about 3 minutes). Over time, you may not get a proper result. (Over time, the color of the test band changes, and the test result decreases.)
The types of samples that can be used (serum, plasma, whole blood) vary depending on the kit. Please refer to the instructions for each kit. Using samples not specified in the instructions can lead to errors during the test or unreliable results."
Yes, it is possible.
If you need to store serum for later use, it's recommended to refrigerate it if it will be used within 24 hours, or freeze it if it will be used after 24 hours. Since the test can be affected by temperature, let the serum sit at room temperature for 15-30 minutes before mixing with the buffer and conducting the test. For frozen serum, ensure it is completely thawed and then let it stand at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before use.
If you mix serum with buffer, it will not affect the test results for up to 2 hours at room temperature. However, before applying the mixed sample to the kit, make sure to shake it well and discard the first 10 drops, then apply 3 drops to the kit. Even if you have shaken it well before, make sure to shake it again just before using it on the kit.
If you need to stop the test before it is completed, please follow these steps:
Before pressing the start button on the device after pressing the STANDBY button on the web:
Close the detailed results window (progress window) on the web.
On the main screen list, move your mouse cursor to the right of the test item in progress, where a "..." symbol is displayed, and a trash can icon will appear.
Click the trash can icon, and a confirmation window will pop up asking if you want to stop and delete the test.
Confirm to stop the test.
After pressing the start button on the device, starting the scanning after pressing the STANDBY button on the web:
The test cannot be stopped on the web; it can only be stopped on the device.
During scanning on the device, a STOP button will be visible. Pressing this button will stop the test both on the device and the web.
The stopped test will be marked as an error on the web.
You can delete this stopped test by clicking the trash can icon in the main screen list, as described in step 1 above.
If the test result did not come out normally due to network errors or other issues during the test, the kit can be retested within 30 minutes if the coloration has not changed. However, depending on the testing environment, if the pad has dried out, become contaminated, or the band’s color has already changed, the results may differ.
For glycated hemoglobin testing, it is essential to immediately add the specified amount of drawn whole blood into an EDTA tube and mix thoroughly for about 10 minutes before use. Even if the blood is left for a short period without an anticoagulant, coagulation can occur, which may prevent the test from proceeding correctly.
Since all AniScan kits use a small amount of serum, it is recommended to replace all pipette tips after one use to ensure the accuracy of the test.
It is recommended to store the kit in a dry, well-ventilated area at room temperature, as per the instructions. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause protein denaturation, which may interfere with the test's accuracy. If the kit has been stored in a freezer, let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before use.
